For more than six years, Limestone Community Education has offered Literacy and Basic Skills programming to clients of Providence Care Mental Health Services. A qualified Literacy Instructor and Educational Assistant work closely with clients to support them on their academic, employment and independence pathways.
Limestone hosts a very successful professional development series for Personal Support Workers in the Kingston and surrounding communities. Employees of local health care agencies, such as the Red Cross, Providence Care, ParaMed Home Health Care and others, send staff monthly to participate in high end workplace training. Some topics include, however are not limited to, mobility strategies, oral care, anxiety and personality disorders, mood disorders, fall prevention, hearing impairment and more.
