Meet your Instructors

Casey Campbell

Casey Campbell (Hons BA, B.Ed, MA) has been with the Limestone Board for 33 years working as a classroom teacher and department head within the secondary and continuing education panels. Her areas of focus include English as a Second Language, English Literature and Language, and Business education. Casey is an avid traveller and proud to say she has visited every continent at least once. Language acquisition is also a journey, and Casey is looking forward to joining you as you gain confidence with your second (or possibly third? fourth?) language.

Anna Zyuzin

I have been teaching English as a Second Language since 1996 and have plenty of knowledge and expertise about pedagogy. I received my Masters in Linguistics in 1998 and my Masters in Education in 2012. Together with my TESL Ontario Certificate, they help me to run classes focused on English for Academic Purposes. I enjoy being among students from all over the world and see them developing their English language skills. I love this job for the opportunities to offer my help in opening the door into the new life in Canada.

Alka Sood

Alka Sood, OCELT has been teaching English as a Second Language at Limestone Education Centre for about four years. Before that, she had taught English Language and English Literature in India for about 20 years. She is also a British Council trained IELTS instructor. Currently, she is pursuing M.Ed. at Queen's University, Kingston. Last year, she taught CLB 3-4 class as well as a Saturday morning class. This academic year, she will assist and instruct CLB 3-4 students in their adventurous journey of learning English.

Tiffany Myers

Hi, I am Tiffany Myers. This year at Limestone I’m very excited to teach the Beginner class as well as a pronunciation class in the afternoon. I first began teaching at Limestone in 2004. I graduated with my TESL Ontario Certification from Algonquin College after university. Before I started at Limestone, I enjoyed a year of teaching ESL in South Korea.  My favourite part about teaching is seeing students having fun while learning English. I would like to improve your confidence with English, so social interaction and group work happens often in my class. I try to make learning enjoyable for my students. I look forward to meeting you!

Joanna Cooke

Hi! My name is Joanna Cooke. I received my TESL certification in 2005 and have worked for Limestone Community Education for the past 9 years. I currently teach the advanced class at a CLB level 7/8. I enjoy working with my students to help them to achieve their goals, whether that be admission to college or finding a better job. I love the challenge of teaching English at a higher level, and it’s a privilege to get to know so many talented and motivated students!

Katherine Heikkila

Hi students!  Welcome to Limestone! I teach the beginning level of English as Limestone in Room 202, Monday to Friday from 9am - 2pm. This summer I studied a Master’s course about Literacy, enjoyed swimming at Lakeshore Pool and mostly enjoyed spending time with my family. I enjoy singing, travelling and smoothies!  I am excited to meet you and help you learn English.

Amy Jeon

Hi!  I am Amy Jeon. I teach the afternoon pre-benchmark ESL class. I started teaching at Limestone in 2017 and I have been enjoying it very much. I received my TESOL certificate in 2005 and Career Development Practitioner Certificate in 2013. With my education and passion for people, I have been providing assistance to immigrants and international students in ESL instruction, settlement services and career coaching.

There are a lot of fun and interactive activities involved in my class while

helping students feel safe, supported and appropriately challenged. I am a life-long learner, traveler and an animal lover.

Carol Fox

Hello! I am teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) to high beginner and low intermediate level students at the Limestone Community Education’s night school (Tuesday and Thursday evenings 6:00 to 8:30 p.m.). I have taught ESL for a number of years in a variety of settings. My qualifications include a TESL Ontario certificate, B. A., B.Ed. and M. Ed. I really enjoy working with students from diverse backgrounds and feel that I learn as much from them (or more) than they do from me. I look forward to you joining our class!
